How can I make my photos look more grainy? I'm trying to give the photos an older feel. You know like when you look at an old surf photo in a commericial or in a surf magazine. Any surf spots on Lake Michigan near chicago? Okay, so I saw this surfing documentary about people surfing on the great lakes. I've got some surf magazines and did a little research and it seems every spot I have found someone mention is in Michigan. Because on any given day you never really know if the surfs gonna be good I'd hate to drive several hours to find out there's no waves. I live near Chicago in a suburbs a few minutes west. In addition to oceans there's also lake surfing and river surfing. I hear on Lake Michigan you need to be in parts of Indiana or Michigan to surf the lake. I also believe it's generally only in fall and even moreso winter that you get the big wave so you need a reall thick wetsuit. internet with pc magazine cd? Can anyone tell me how the pc magazine website works even when I am not connected to the net??? I have a night surfing account but it allowed me access to the site even during the day. The cable internet operator actually allows some sites hosted locally(in Nepal) to view but the pc magazine website is not. Why does it take so long to download pages? When I am reading online magazines it takes forever for the pages to download and even longer to view slide shows. How do you surf Trestles? If anyone is a reader of Surfing Magazine, you may have come across one of their features called "How to Surf ... (fill in surf spot)". This feature is basically an instructional guide in which they break down - with an accompanying aerial photograph of the corresponding spot - the recommended approach to successfully catching a wave at that particular location; diagramming suggested paddle out routes, take off zones, and any related ancillary knowledge such as any hazards or landmarks to look for. I have yet to see one for Trestles. I am interested in surfing at Trestles and I was wondering if anyone could give me their advice as to where the best routes (path of least resistance) are to paddle out and where is the actual takeoff zone for either Uppers, Lowers, or Church. What are some interesting NON-ID, Non-religious counter arguments to the theory of evolution? I love reading both sides of an arguments. Excluding Intelligent design, and anything remotely religious, what are some interesting scientific resources/books/websites that present an counter-argument, or a different point of view, that the Darwinian one? I've found a couple when surfing, such as an article at WIRED magazine (http://www.wired.com/wired/archive/12.10/evolution.html?pg=5&topic=evolution&topic_set=) and also http://www.forbiddenarcheology.com/ but I'd love to see and read what other people have to recommend. why are pineapples always Incorporated with surfing? ???? you always see pictures of pro riders in magazines with pineapples????

Surfing and Hollywood????? Has anyone noticed that surfing has suddenly been on T.V. alot particularly on the E (Entertainment/hollywood gossip) channel. I have also seen it in several magazines of the spiffed up tabloid variety (STAR,PEOPLE etc...) I recently saw an interview of some guy who owns a store thats filled with surf insipired clothes which quite frankly resemble preppy clothing more. I am not saying its a good or bad thing I just find it odd.I just hope that surfing doesnt become something people, especially the teens and kids, do just because the celebrities do it and thats "cool". What are yalls thoughts on this??
