Did anybody used to play that grid game?

Did anybody used to play that game where you all draw a grid each and write things like 'girls name, boys name, car, flower, food, country etc' down the side. For each column you pick a different letter. You then all have to go down the column thinking of something in each category starting with that letter. When one person completes the column the game stops and you all have to compare answers and score points. I don't know what its called. It's one my mom used to play with us. I'm not sure if she made it up herself. You would score 1 point if you had the same answer as someone else, 2 points if you had an answer nobody else had and 3 points if you had an answer and nobody else could think of one for that category.

2. I play it with my EFL students. We call it "stop the bus!" The first person to complete the categories shouts stop the bus to score the relevant points.
3. Pub game when pool tables are being used for us! can be pretty funny and is good practive for the pub quiz...not sure of its true name.
