What do you think of these BCS Matchups predictions from Sports Illustrated?

These BCS Bowl predictions came out last week in Sports Illustrated. Not sure the name of the guy who made them. What do you think of them? Rose Bowl: USC vs. Ohio State Sugar Bowl: Ole Miss vs. Rutgers Fiesta Bowl: Oklahoma vs. Boise State Orange Bowl: Virginia Tech vs. Penn State BCS National Championship: Florida vs. Texas

  1. Looks decent, but Ohio St. is kinda rebuilding, so I can see them switching with Penn St and Penn St would rep the Big 10 in the rose. I guess since the big east still get a bcs bid, why not rutgers. tex or okla could be a toss up as well. so those arent bad predictions. ol miss is supposed to be real good, i can see them or lsu getting that bid for the sugar. like most people, ill take florida in the national title game
  2. I really don't see the Big East getting a representative into the BCS this year (champ must finish inside the top 16), and I don't think the Big 10 will get 2 representatives.
  3. Think its pretty strong predicitions. Like the Boise St team. Ole Miss is gonna be a interesting team to watch this year. And of course Texas V OU winner will probably be the one to play Florida. And quite a drop for Alabama this year.
  4. Virgina Tech lost their starting running back for the season. Leaving them with 2 freshmen and a sophomore to replace him. I like Georgia Tech to come out of the ACC. Rest looks pretty good though..
  5. Rose Bowl: Texas vs. Ohio State/Penn State/Iowa Sugar Bowl: LSU vs. Rutgers Fiesta Bowl: Oklahoma vs. Boise State Orange Bowl: Virginia Tech vs. Notre Dame BCS National Championship: Florida vs. USC With the schedule they have, Notre Dame will probably go no worse than 11-1. I can't believe SI didn't take that into account. But then again there's no accounting for Charlie Weis. Penn State/Ohio St. are in rebuilding. Iowa has a lot back. My BCS is tentative on USC not blowing a game against Washington or UCLA or someone else. No one has the talent USC has. They SHOULD be 12-0, but then again other years ... ******************* Eric- The winners of the big six qualify automatically. They don't have to be in the top 16. Although I think you may be right that no Big East will be in the top 16.
